Wondering about the condition of a remote trail? Heard about downed trees but not sure if the VVMTA crew has been able to clear them yet? We do our best to update trail conditions but we need your help to let our community know what you see out there. You can do your part by providing notable trail conditions in one of the following ways:
- File a Trail Report on VVMTA’s Web Form
- VVMTA Trail Conditions Facebook Group
- Trail Conditions Page via Trailforks
Winter trail closures are upcoming in December in key wildlife feeding and migration corridors.
Read up on the full list of seasonal trail closures here. Please, Respect the Wild.
In partnership with the USFS and Eagle County Open Space, the VVMTA was excited to continue the Eagle County Youth Corps (ECYC) for a second year!
This is more than just a summer job; it’s a chance for high school students ages 16 to 18 to make a lasting impact on the lands they love. ECYC crew members will be on the front lines of trail maintenance, ecological restoration, and environmental stewardship projects across Eagle County. Along the way, they’ll gain hands-on experience, explore career pathways in outdoor recreation, environmental education, and natural resource management, and grow as confident leaders in the great outdoors. We’re securing funding for this program for 2027 and beyond. If you are interested, please reach out to info@vvmta.org.
Explore trails, find your place, and discover resources that help make the outdoors feel welcoming and accessible for everyone.
Senderos Para Todos is a Spanish language trail guide created to help our community find nearby routes, choose trails by difficulty, distance, and family friendliness, take a quick trail quiz, and connect with helpful outdoor resources.
