Donate to VVMTA - Ways to Give

$0.00
If annually is selected, your credit card will be charged one year from the date of your first donation on a recurring basis.

What your gift Supports

The VVMTA is an efficient and action oriented 501c3 non-profit – making big impacts with relatively small financial resources. With YOUR donations, memberships, and sponsorships, we are able to staff a core team year-round who manages large grant funded programs, hires 30+ summer seasonal employees. Our expertise and relationships with land management agencies and local governments allows this small team to plan, gain approvals, and build projects across the valley.

Your donations also maintain equipment and assets such as our mini excavator, hundreds of hand tools, and the VVMTA HQ; a small office/garage bay in Edwards that safely houses equipment, (used) trucks, and hosts trail crew trainings, safety pre-work meetings, and more.

Your support allows us to staff a seasonal full time trail maintenance and building crew, manage over 1,200 annual volunteers, 63 Adopt a Trail teams spending 2-3 days each in the field. You also allow Soul Dirt and community work to build future trail advocates and expand access, and Trail Ambassador staff to encourage responsible use and enforce wildlife closures.

Thank you for your meaningful contribution to the VVMTA. It shows you truly do Love Your Trails

IRA Charitable Contributions

Give from Your IRA. Support the Trails You Love.

Are you age 70½ or older? You may be able to support VVMTA directly from your IRA through a Qualified Charitable Distribution, often called a QCD or IRA charitable distribution.

A QCD allows eligible donors to direct funds from an IRA straight to a qualified nonprofit organization like VVMTA. When done correctly, the distribution may be excluded from taxable income and may also count toward your required minimum distribution.

Why consider an IRA charitable distribution?

An IRA charitable distribution can be a simple and tax-wise way to help maintain, advocate for, and improve the trails and public lands that make our community special. For donors who are required to take annual IRA distributions, a QCD may count toward that requirement.

How it works:

  • Contact your IRA custodian or financial advisor (you may be able to do this online)
  • Tell them you would like to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution directly to VVMTA.
  • The distribution must go directly from your IRA custodian to the nonprofit organization.
  • Let VVMTA know your gift is coming; some IRA checks arrive without donor information, so please contact us so we can properly acknowledge your generosity.

2026 Giving Limit

For 2026, the IRS increased the aggregate amount of qualified charitable distributions that may be excluded from gross income from $108,000 to $111,000.
