Check out the most current trail conditions before heading out this Spring. We do our best to update trail conditions but we need your help to let our community know what you see out there.  Please provide any trail condition beta to the sources below:

All three of these are only successful with you, the trails community letting others know what you are seeing out there!

In partnership with the USFS and Eagle County Open Space, the VVMTA and Walking Mountains are excited to launch the Eagle County Youth Corps (ECYC).

This is more than just a summer job; it’s a chance for high school students ages 16 to 18 to make a lasting impact on the lands they love. ECYC crew members will be on the front lines of trail maintenance, ecological restoration, and environmental stewardship projects across Eagle County. Along the way, they’ll gain hands-on experience, explore career pathways in outdoor recreation, environmental education, and natural resource management, and grow as confident leaders in the great outdoors.

It’s Spring and that means it’s also time to refresh your knowledge on seasonal trail closures to protect wildlife.  While many closures will be lifted on April 16th in Eagle and Avon, there are many that go into affect on April 15th through June 20th and July 1st.

Read up on the full list of seasonal trail closures here.  And if you haven’t yet, take the pledge, Respect the Wild.

Looking to join in on the fun and help out our trails?  Check out our calendar to see upcoming volunteer events.  Registration and details are located in the event on the calendar.  The VVMTA Volunteer Trail Crew meets every Wednesday night and the HTC Volunteer Trail Crew meets the first and third Tuesday of every month.  Stay tuned to our calendar, social media, and newsletter for updated information.
