Seasonal Wildlife Trail Closure Awareness Day

Since 2018 the VVMTA’s Wildlife Trail Ambassador program has educated thousands of trail users on why seasonal wildlife trail closures exist.

The goal of Seasonal Wildlife Trail Closure Awareness Day is to have volunteers at closed trailheads on May 19th from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm.  

Volunteers will:

• Join a VVMTA staff member at a trailhead for one hour (or more!)
• Educate trail users about seasonal wildlife trail closures
• Raise awareness of why we need to Respect the Wild
• Have fun!
