Trail Conservation Crew – 2021 Seasonal Full-time Trail Crew Leaders and Crew Members
The Vail Valley Mountain Trails Alliance (VVMTA) is excited to offer seasonal full-time positions with the first ever Trail Conservation Crew (TCC).
The TCC will directly address the declining resources of local land managers by expanding their recreation management capacity. The TCC is also a necessary expansion and natural progression of the Adopt A Trail and Wildlife Trail Ambassador programs, aimed at addressing the increased demands on our trails and public lands. The TCC will assist in leading and training AAT volunteers, but also collaborate with local land managers and partner organizations to perform recreation and conservation projects throughout Eagle County. Overall, the areas of emphasis will be trail maintenance, trail building, protecting seasonal wildlife closures, conservation projects, educating trail users, removing garbage, and generally mitigating increased recreational impacts on trails and public lands.
