We are excited to be hiring for our Trails and Stewardship Crew (TSC) 2026 season.
Join the Trails & Stewardship Crew (TSC) with the Vail Valley Mountain Trails Alliance (VVMTA) and make a lasting impact on Eagle County’s public lands. As a Trails & Stewardship Crew Member, you will work on a wide variety of trail and stewardship projects, including trail maintenance and construction, campsite restoration, habitat improvement, fencing, signage installation, public education, and bike park maintenance among others. Crew Members can expect to split their time between traditional trail work and stewardship-focused projects.
This position is ideal for individuals who want hands-on experience in trail work, stewardship, and conservation while spending their workdays outdoors in the mountains. TSC Members gain practical skills in trail construction and restoration, work closely with land managers, and develop leadership, teamwork, and public engagement experience that supports careers in conservation, recreation, land management, and outdoor education.
In addition to full-time crew members, we are also seeking Trails & Stewardship Crew Interns. As a TSC Intern you’ll work alongside crew leaders on the same technical projects outlined above while spending your days outdoors. This paid, seasonal role is ideal for people looking for practical experience and mentorship in trail work and land management. The dates of the intern position run approximately from late May – August and are flexible to accommodate varying college schedules
